Subject: Delete my Turf Guru account
Include: your name, the email or username you sign in with, and your company's name.
We'll confirm the request is really from you, then delete the account and email you when it's done, within 30 days.
What's deleted
- Your login: your username, email address, password and Google sign-in link.
- Your phone number, your alert settings and your preferences on each team you're on.
- Records of your past sign-in attempts.
What the company keeps
The work you did belongs to the company you did it for, so it stays with them under your name: visits you logged, time clock entries (for payroll), and pesticide application records, which states require companies to keep for several years. Your name is the only personal detail left on them.
Deleting a whole company
- If other people are on the team and you're the last owner, make someone else an owner first (Team → tap their name → Owner). Then you can delete your account.
- If you're the only one left, deleting your account can also delete the whole company. You choose this separately and type the company's name to confirm.
- The company closes right away: nobody can sign in to it, and no more texts, emails or automatic payments go to its customers. Its paid plan is cancelled.
- After 30 days, everything is erased for good: customers, visits, invoices, payments, photos, files and settings. Until then, only support can bring it back (email us).
- Your state may require you to keep pesticide application records for several years. Print or download them from Records before you delete the company.
Backups
Erased data can stay in our hosting provider's encrypted backups for a short time after that, until those backups expire. It's never restored from them except to recover from an outage.
Customers of a lawn care company
If a lawn care company keeps your information as their customer, they control it. Ask them to remove it, or email us and we'll pass your request along.
